On Monday 3rd November 2025 we received a call about a possible bogus caller in the Splott area.

Whilst our enquiries are ongoing, it's a timely reminder to be aware of this type of scam, and what you can do to stop yourself, friends or family becoming victim to this type of crime.

If you do not know the caller, ask which company/organisation they are representing

Always ask them for proof of identification. If the caller is genuine, they wont mind you ringing their employer to check their identity. 

If your still unsure, ask them to come back another time when you have some family or support available.
